This project is set to transform Floating Photovoltaics (FPV) and play a key role in Europe\u2019s transition to climate neutrality.<\/p>\n<p>As part of the SuRE project, Metsolar will focus on developing cost-effective, high-performance PV panel designs specifically for floating applications. Our team will explore a range of advanced materials\u2014such as innovative encapsulants, diverse solar cells, and edge sealants\u2014to enhance the efficiency, durability, and reliability of FPV panels. Additionally, we\u2019ll be streamlining and digitalizing our manufacturing processes to align with Industry 4.0, improving scalability and production efficiency.<\/p>\n<p>The SuRE project aims to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Enhance sustainability<\/strong> by reducing negative impacts on biodiversity and ensuring compliance with end-of-life standards.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Improve reliability<\/strong> through the development and testing of FPV components that meet structural and functional demands over their lifecycle.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Boost affordability<\/strong> by lowering the Levelized Cost of Energy (LCOE) for FPV power plants, making renewable energy more accessible.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We are excited to collaborate with esteemed partners such as Ciel &amp; Terre International, Laketricity, BayWa r.e. Global, ZIMMERMANN SOLAR, Sunlit Sea, SABIC, Comp\u00e1z, TNO, Fraunhofer ISE, Stichting Deltares, and CINEA in advancing this innovative project.<\/p>\n<p>Stay tuned <strong><a
