In USA alone 1.5 million bikes are stolen every year. So the creators of this smart lock had the vision to create autonomously powered GPS bike lock with precise sensors to detect and alert any suspicious activity to owners paired mobile devices. Main goal of this solution was to develop a solar product which would seamlessly integrate onto both lock edges. The challenges of this solution was to generate enough power from such tiny space and to ensure longevity of this small solar module. Therefore high precision and flexible manufacturing capabilities came in handy to meet the demands of both the designers (nice looking all black solution) and technical staff (enough power from limited surface and shock resistant solar module). PCB/frontsheet modules with cut mini solar cells were used to achieve these criteria with success. Now DeeperLock is said to be the most secure and toughest bike locks ever created.
