Project description:

SuRE aims to provide both cost-efficient and sustainable new FPV technologies and generalizable knowledge, thereby expanding the potential application areas without environmental sacrifices. Project activities targeting sustainability, reliability, efficiency and affordability are designed to advance the entire FPV industry and increase its competitiveness compared to fossil fuels and lad-covering renewable technologies.

Metsolar activities in the project:

  • Environmental impact of FPV assessment methodology, mitigation measures and guidelines.
  • Field stressor and performance losses quantification.
  • Accelerated FPV reliability test procedures and recommended standards.
  • Mitigation strategies for failure and degradation modes.
  • Digital Twin development and LCOE calculations.
  • Cell and module technology optimization for FPV applications.
  • Prototype candidate selection, production and field deployment.
