A Partnership That Achieved TÜV Rheinland Certification

Metsolar, in close cooperation with its partner Solartag, has reached an important milestone: Solartag integrated solar tiles have successfully completed the full TÜV Rheinland certification program. This achievement confirms that the solution meets internationally recognized standards for safety, durability, and long-term performance.

The certification process was comprehensive and demanding. The product underwent mechanical load testing (including wind, snow, and impact resistance), temperature cycling under extreme conditions, UV ageing tests, as well as electrical and fire safety assessments. These tests confirmed the product’s resistance to environmental stresses and its reliable performance under real-world operating conditions.

This certification represents not only a technical validation, but also the result of strong, well-coordinated collaboration. Throughout the certification process, the Metsolar and Solartag teams worked closely to align design decisions, manufacturing processes, and testing requirements, ensuring a consistently high level of product quality and reliability.

TÜV Rheinland certification provides additional confidence for architects, designers, contractors, and end clients seeking independently verified BIPV solutions. The certified solar tiles combine architectural integration with dependable energy generation, offering a robust alternative to conventional roofing materials.
